In Greek mythology, Pegasus was a magnificent winged horse that was the son of Poseidon. It had enormous wings with a silken mane and tail that flowed through the breeze when soaring among the clouds. Pegasus was lord and master of the sky, more free than any other earthly being and no one could control him. He was a God-like animal sent from heaven to help people on the earth. From a Greek myth it is said that Pegasus is connected to poets and writers, that it is from him they receive their inspirations.
