Vintage Root Beer Dispensers

Rood Beer Dispensers were used at drug store soda fountains all across the United States in early and mid 1900s. Thye were displayed on the back bar and were elaborately designed to enhance the Root Beer brand name and its syrup it contained.

There were two types of early dispensers, the pump style and the spigot. The pump mechanism was inserted from the top into dispenser. With the pump style the operator could pump as much syrup as needed. The other type Rood Beer dispenser had a spigot protruding from the side near the bottom
