A distilled beverage or spirits is a drinkable liquid containing alcohol that is produced by means of distilling fermented grain, fruit, or vegetables. The word spirits generally refers to a distilled beverage low in sugars and containing at least 35% alcohol by volume. Popular spirits include Absinthe, baijiu, brandy, gin, grappa, rum, tequila, vodka, whisky, and schnapps. Advertising has been a very large part in promoting distilled beverages.
